Apple Orchard Wassailing is a tradition to wake up the fruit trees from their winter slumber and encourage a good harvest for the coming year!
The garden wassail takes place on Saturday 9th February.
Come one, come all, and enjoy...
3 - 4.30 pm
Free drop-in craft activities for children and families in Meeting Room (Quarry),
making ‘Wassailing’ instruments from recycled materials
4.30 - 5 pm
Wassail for the fruit trees
5 - 6.30 pm
Hot spiced apple juice and wassail songs... you are welcome to bring instruments and share songs, poems and stories around the fire
The event is followed by a special show: The Cabinet of Living Cinema presents a double bill -
Mary Shelley's Future Shocks and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (PG)
