The Castle is a dedicated climbing centre and is one of the premier centres in Europe. Since it first opened its doors to the public in October 1995 the Castle has grown, and is still growing! The centre is now spread over 5 floors...with more yet to come. Housing over 450 roped and lead routes from 8m to 13m in height and an extensive range of bouldering surfaces we have something to suit everyone's ability, from beginners to experts, from the very young to the not so sprightly.

    We’re a mixed use Centre – this means we house multiple different types of climbing.

    There are four types of climbing that you can do at The Castle: 

  • The Social

    The Social is the Castle’s social climbers meet-up, always facilitated by a Castle team member. Anyone is welcome, regardless of your grade, as long as you’re

  • The Castle Shop

    The Castle Shop - with equipment for all your climbing needs. 

  • The Castle Café

    The Castle Café – the café with the best view! We’re much more than your standard climber’s café. 

  • The Garden

    A one acre, vibrant green space teeming with wildlife in the middle of London. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the garden.

  • Venue Hire

    The Castle is a unique venue, ideal for media shoots and charity events. We also offer meeting room hire for corporate events.

  • Yoga, Massage and More
