First Time at the Castle? You MUST Register BEFORE You Climb

Everyone wishing to climb in the centre must complete a registration form - either the Acknowledgment of Risk Form or the Novice Supervision Form.  There is no charge for this.  You will need to complete a new form every three years to ensure that you have read our most up to date conditions of use and rules and that the details we hold for you are current.

  • You may not top-rope or lead if you have a bouldering only registration.
  • You can upgrade to a roped climbing registration for free at any time.

Novice supervision

Registered adult (over 18) roped climbers may supervise up to two novice climbers. If you are planning on bringing a novice, please check our novice supervision page

COVID Safety Within The Centre:

Face Coverings - Face coverings should be worn inside whenever you are not climbing (e.g. at Reception, walking between areas, in toilets and changing rooms or while belaying), unless you are defined by the government as exempt (for example, children under 11 years).

Social Distancing - Make space! We ask that you maintain social distancing throughout your session.

Hygiene - We ask that you wash / sanitise your hands on arrival and throughout your visit. We have installed additional handwashing and sanitizing facilities throughout the centre.

Facilities - the Castle Cafe and Shop are both open, in a seperate building opposite Reception. Changing rooms are available but showers are not currently in use.

Please help us keep everyone safe by respecting these measures.

Acknowledgement of Risk

We need all climbers to complete our new Acknowledgement of Risk form before the centre reopens (even if you have recently updated your waiver). Please complete this in advance to save time at Reception - time that would be better spent climbing!
Acknowledgement of Risk.
