Welcome to The Castle booking page. Here you can book your climbing slots up to two weeks in advance.
We are working on a strictly pre-booked, maximum capacity basis. Each slot is 2hrs long. You need to indicate what type of climbing you want to do (top rope, lead, bouldering, or autobelay) to help us manage capacity throughout the centre.
Choose what sort of climbing you’d like to do and then the relevant participant option to purchase your slot. You’ll find a full list of participant types and what they mean at the top of each page. You can also book for your climbing partner or family members that are climbing with you at the same time, but you’ll need to know their details too.
All bookings will be checked against the customers member type upon entry and customers with the wrong type of booking will be charged before they can climb!
You can create a log-in online to make booking quicker and simpler too!
Everyone wishing to climb in the centre must complete a registration form - either the Acknowledgment of Risk Form or the Novice Supervision Form. There is no charge for this. You will need to complete a new form every three years to ensure that you have read our most up to date conditions of use and rules and that the details we hold for you are current.
Registered adult (over 18) roped climbers may supervise up to two novice climbers. If you are planning on bringing a novice, please check our novice supervision page.
Using the Centre:
One Way System - A one-way system is in operation so you can navigate the centre whilst social distancing
Face Coverings - Face coverings must be worn inside whenever you are not climbing (e.g. at Reception, walking between areas, in toilets and changing rooms or while belaying), unless you are defined by the government as exempt (for example, children under 11 years).
Hygiene - We ask that you wash / sanitise your hands on arrival and throughout your visit. We have installed additional handwashing and sanitizing facilities throughout the centre.
Facilities - are currently limited. The main Café is being moved, but a mini Castle Café drinks stand with cold drinks and pre-packaged snacks is available just outside the Castle entrance.
Changing rooms - are available but now have one-way systems and social distancing screens up. Please come ready to climb to relieve pressure on these areas. The showers are not currently in use.
Social Distancing - We ask that you take note of the capacity signage in each area and maintain social distancing throughout your session
Please help us keep everyone safe by respecting these new measures.
