Are you looking for a fun activity for your child during school holidays? Come climbing at The Castle!
During the weekends and school holidays we offer Family Taster and Kids Fun Sessions. Both courses are suitable for novice climbers and have a maximum student to instructor ratio of 6:1. We will provide all the equipment you need for this course.
The Family Taster is a 1.5 hour climbing and bouldering session suitable for parents/carers with children aged 5 and up. Both the parents and children climb together, giving you a chance to try a fun new activity with your child. Young children in particular often feel more comfortable trying a new activity with their parent, so this is a great way to introduce them to climbing and give them the confidence and support they'll need to get to the top!
You must book a space for yourself in addition to a space for each participating child (ie one space for you plus one space for your child = two spaces total). This is mandatory for children aged 5 to 8. For children aged 9 or above, you may opt out of the session yourself and book for the child only. However, in this case, we would recommend the Fun Climbing Session instead (see below).
The Kids Fun Session is a 2hour session for children aged 9 to 17 and includes bouldering, climbing and an abseil down the inside of the tower. This session is suitable for all levels of experience. Children wishing to learn the safety skills to eventually climb unsupervised should join our regular climbing club- N4 Climbing.
