We've got a great schedule planned for May Day... a celebration of hedgerows! From a look at traditional hedgelaying techniques, the diversity of plant species hedgerows include, and their importance for wildlife; to the experience of enjoying each change in season through walks alongside them, and wild food foraging.

The Big Dig is a community garden open day, organised by Capital Growth.
Join us in the garden for a Celebration of Soil!

Here's what's in store:

11am - 4pm - in the garden
There'll be garden tasks to help out with, led by Rosie, one of our garden team - she'll be on hand to give information about growing and anything you'd like to know about the garden.
Activities for children, led by Lauren. Include seed planting, food growing games, meet the worms, nature games and crafts.

In addition to our Wassail event in the garden on Saturday 11th February, we'll be running activities around the centre in support of The Climate Coalition's Show The Love campaign.

Find out more about this year's Wassail, including children's craft activities here

Do you care about the environment and the effects of climate change? Wear your green heart on your sleeve; share and celebrate the outdoor places that you are inspired by and want to help to conserve.
