For over ten years The Castle has organised climbing holidays in Northern Spain with Climb Catalunya. Catalunya is graced with excellent weather and a wide variety of crags from adventurous multi-pitch, hard-core tufa-filled caves and friendly single-pitch venues all in the midst of stunning scenery.
Most of the trips are based at the beautiful Abella de la Conca Eco-Refugi, a 200 year old ecologically renovated refuge in a beautiful mountain village about an hours drive from Lleida. This stunning central location is high in the mountains and allows for easy access to a number of crags.  It is an inspiring location and your body and soul will be nourished by the landscape surrounding you.
All the trips include transport (once in Spain), accommodation and food so all you need to worry about is the climbing. Your trip will be led by a Castle liaison who will help you with pre-trip logistics and make sure you have the best trip imaginable. Knowledgeable local guides and group leaders will take you to the best crags and give you specific route recommendations so that you get as much climbing in as possible.

6b & Up - Climb Catalunya

This trip is aimed at people who are starting to climb 6b or above (European sports grades). Offering you all the right conditions to push your grade on some of Catalunya’s finest rock lines.

• The week is aimed at climbers that:
• Are starting to climb 6b and above.
• Generally climb at least once a week, indoors or outside.
• Want an opportunity to climb on a selection of the best routes Catalunya has to offer in the 6b-7b range (or higher if you are up for it!).
• Want to take advantage of climbing with a team of highly experienced climbers and informally learn tips and techniques.
• Don’t have a regular climbing partner and want a climbing holiday with other keen climbers.
• Keen to try a steeper style of climbing.
