We're re-developing the Mezz! This bouldering area will be closed until the end of the month. During this time there will be some disruption while we carry out works. This will be kept to a minimum and the majority of work will occur during our off-peak hours.

Urban Food Routes

An initiative to support a variety of London’s small food enterprises to gain expert advice and funding to enable them to thrive and benefit their local communities.

Funded by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and Seeds of Change®, and co-ordinated by the Plunkett Foundation, Growing Communities and London Food Link, from Waltham Forest to Westminster, over 80 social enterprises and privately-run businesses applied for funding and support.

Applications were received from a range of enterprises; from growers to bakers, retailers and caterers; from street food vendors to distributers and market traders. We are one of thirty-two enterprises who have been selected to receive support!

The first few years of the garden project we have been collecting surplus fruit from the local community with the help of climbers, to make juice/cider and not let it go to waste and we have also been spending all summer picking, drying various herbs for our own grown and processed herbal tea blends.

The funding will spent on small commercial apple crusher, apple press and pasturiser for us to make our own apple juice from surplus local apples, and share some juice with who we got fruit from, and also on the building of a solar dryer for drying our herbs for our herb blends we sell in the café.

We will be looking to collect fruit again this year, they seem to be dropping from trees early, so will be on the look out for scrumping soon!
