We're looking for someone to help us run the Session!
This is a social drop-in service offered to registered climbers at the Castle, overseen by one of our facilitators. Your role would be to facilitate the meeting of like-minded people to climb together. These are not coaching sessions, and facilitators are not expected to provide instruction or give coaching tips.
If you're available to work:
- 7-9pm Mon to Fri
- 2-5pm Sat and Sun and Bank holidays
Then please consider applying!
We're looking for someone that can run a minimum of three sessions per month - but you can take more if you wish. Sessions cover both bouldering and top-roping. A lot of people ask facilitators to suggest good routes, so if you're thinking of applying you'll need to climb regularly (at the Castle), and at least 6a+ on top rope. Even better if you're a regular that attends the Session!
This is a self-employed position - you'll need to invoice us for the work. As a facilitator you'll get to enjoy all the benefits of working at the Castle, including free entry, discounts in the Cafe, Shop and attendance at staff events.
It's a great opportunity to practice your group management skills and if you're working toward your CWA this is a good first step.
Please email Kerry (kerry@castle-climbing.co.uk) with a short email explaining why you're interested, your climbing experience and anything else you'd like to tell us.
Closing date for applications: 6th March
Applicants will not receive responses until after 6th March. You can find out more about the Session here.
