We are looking for a receptionist to work on our busy front desk 10 to 24 hours a week. Flexibility is essential as the shifts are varied and cover weekdays, evenings and some weekends.
A friendly open manner, enthusiastic attitude towards excellent customer service and a high standard of written and spoken English is essential. The ideal candidate should be computer literate and have previous experience in customer service roles. An interest in climbing and sustainability is an advantage.

Anoushé Husain is a public speaker, civil servant and paraclimber refusing to let any barriers get in her way. Born missing her right arm below the elbow and experiencing multiple health conditions throughout her life, Anoushé shares her experiences in the build up to Round 2 of the Paraseries at the Castle on 17th October.
As autumn arrives the Castle is becoming increasingly busier and lively. In the next few weeks you may see a lot of fresh faces and keen novices hanging off the walls. Every October universities from around London, such as UCL,LSE will be bringing new climbers to the Castle to let them try climbing for the first time. We are delighted that they have chosen the Castle as a space for their new climbing club members to have a go and learn the ropes in a safe environment.
The Castle Café is looking for a part-time chef who is passionate about sustainable vegetarian and vegan food and will be excited about working with our existing kitchen team and our garden team to produce great value, healthy food for hungry climbers!
Urban Harvest is a garden open day featuring a cafe in the garden (with seating under cover in case of rain!) serving delicious food with garden ingredients, garden fruits smoothies, herb teas, castle garden honey and more!

The storm was due at 6pm, we would wake at 3.30am, get to the start of the route by 6am, then climb the Cassin Route (900 meters) of the Piz Badile by early afternoon. The abseils down the North Ridge would take up the rest of the day, hopefully we’d get most of the way down before we got caught in the rain, thunder and lightening.
