This year we’re teaming up with the ‘Get Kids Out Learning’ campaign to encourage more families to drop the smartphone, step away from the laptop and head outside!
We believe that learning activities go way beyond the classroom and want to inspire families to explore the amazing world around them. This could be climbing (of course we’re a little biased!) or loads of other activities available right from your doorstep.
Sound like your cup of tea? Here’s what the campaign is all about:
Spear headed by Tutora, Get Kids Out Learning provides easy ways for families to find fun days out local to them. The campaign sprung from research demonstrating that over the summer holidays, with no classes to attend, children can lose months of learning progress. Those remaining in an environment conductive to learning over this time maintained their abilities to learn and understand new concepts – enabling them to learn more, learn faster and be prepared for the return to school in September.
Creating unique and memorable learning experiences, the campaign pulls together loads of venues across the UK making it easy to plan fun days out. Here’s what CEO and Co-Founder of Tutora, Scott Woodley, has to say:
‘Our aim is to help as many families as possible and make sure that every child is able to achieve their best in school! Seeing the regression which can happen over the Summer holidays, we wanted to help tackle the problem - what better way than to get children visiting the wonderful educational venues we have across the UK?!’
