Paraclimbing Series

The BMC Paraclimbing Series is organised by the BMC, Link4life, OnThisRoc, Manchester Climbing Centre, Newcastle Climbing Centre and the Castle Climbing Centre, London.

This is a series of events to provide disabled people with an opportunity to have a go at climbing in the competitive environment run in friendly surroundings. The series is also a basis for talent identification and selection for the GB Para-Climbing Team.

2014 CATEGORIES
There will be 8 different categories:
• Using Upper & Lower Limbs (any number)
• Using upper limbs only
• Using upper limbs only that have impairments
• People with sensory impairments
• People with learning disabilities
• Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC)

COMPETITION FORMAT
Competitors will have to climb three roped climbs and three boulder problems and will be given a score on each one dependant on height gained. The climber with the best score in each category will win.
