Garden Events

Throughout the lighter and warmer months we run a programme of events and workshops in the garden to learn new skills and explore your local environment.

Email if you have any questions.

Don’t know what to do with your left-over Halloween pumpkins?

Bring them along to the Castle Pumpkin Festival!

Sunday 1st November
1.30pm – 4pm

We hope you’re enjoying some delicious dishes this autumn using the pumpkin from your lanterns and here at The Castle we’d like to help you get rid of your left-over pumpkins and compost them.

On Saturday 1st November we’re holding a FREE event in the garden for all the family:

- Craft workshops and activities for the kids from 1.30pm
- Composting workshop & food waste talk from 2pm

PLUS ‘Liberated Vegetable Soup’ to keep you warm and a performance from the choir in the garden from 3.30pm

Enter The Castle through the main front door and sign in as a visitor at Reception. They will show you where the garden is to come join the festival.

As part of Hubbub’s campaign to waste less food and compost the Castle is a drop-off point for your used pumpkin lanterns.

Please leave them in the crate outside the main door. Thank you
