May Day... Festival of Hedgerows!

We've got a great schedule planned for May Day... a celebration of hedgerows! From a look at traditional hedgelaying techniques, the diversity of plant species hedgerows include, and their importance for wildlife; to the experience of enjoying each change in season through walks alongside them, and wild food foraging.

12-2pm Meet the garden's bees

12-3pm Garden cafe (serving teas, cold drinks, homemade savoury snacks and cakes)

12-4pm Nature games, crafts and face painting for children!

1-1.30pm Hedgerow talk - traditional hedgelaying techniques and native species, explore local hedges!

2-3pm Hedgerow Herb Walk with Rasheeqa

3.30pm May Day dance and live music (with a climbing rope may pole!)

5pm May Day bonfire and fireside open mic.
