Brand new for this summer, the Castle’s Climbing & Wilderness Summer Day Camp is a multi-activity camp for children aged 9 – 14 years.
These camps are packed with the stuff of childhood dreams: campfire cooking, survival skills including fire lighting and Scout-style knife skills, foraging for feasts in our permaculture garden, arts and crafts and of course climbing with our qualified instructors! Each day will include a combination of a range of activities depending on the group and the weather (but climbing will always be on the itinerary!)
This is the perfect opportunity for your kids to get outside this summer in a unique and creative environment all within London Zone 3.
-Full day camp from 9am-4.15pm
-4 fully instructed activities including 90 minute climbing sessions
-Outdoor activities – bring a packed lunch, a raincoat and a sense of adventure
-No experience required, just a natural curiosity and a desire to try something new!
Please note: all participants will be required to wear a face covering whilst navigating the centre.
Meet the Instructors:
Tom is an experienced instructor and climbing coach who has been lending his skills at the Castle for five years including coaching our youth athlete team The Squad. Outside the Castle he’s a highly commended Scout Leader for the last ten years. He was awarded a Commendation for Good Service last year.
You may recognise Lauren from our Castle Wild after school sessions. She’s Forest Schools trained, and her focus is nature-orientated activities and games. She enjoys encouraging children to try making, building, imagining, observing and discovering the wonders of nature.
