After two successful years at the Climbing Hangar (Liverpool), the Women's Climbing Symposium is coming to London. Coaching, lectures and stories led by not just the who’s who of Britain’s elite women climbers, but people you don’t know whose stories you need to know.  As always, WCS 2013 promises to be an essential diary date.

This is a unique event bringing together coaching expertise from Britain's top female climbers with relevant talks about our climbing experiences.

Want to relive the best moments of the Garden Party? Maybe you couldn't make it and want to see what the fuss is about... Ben Grubb's latest video captures the great vibe of the day. We also have a photo gallery of the event.

We are hosting a number of FREE workshops with our garden experts this summer. These are on Friday afternoons from 12pm to 1pm and are open to everyone. Please email garden@castle-climbing.co.uk if you will be attending. Why not make a day of it and stick around to volunteer in the garden and learn some new skills?

The Garden Boulders were officially opened at the Castle's Garden party on Sunday, 21st of July. The Dyno Comp, taking place on the West Side of The Battleship Boulder drew large crowds both in The Castle and from people passing by on Green Lanes. Many of the climbers rediscovered the old Featured Wall, in its new reincarnation as The Featured Boulder. Two of the boulders (Trackside and Battleships) have 6 circuits on them. The Boulders will be open when the centre is open (12pm weekdays, 10am weekends) and close 15 minutes before closing time or dusk (whichever is earliest).

On Sunday, 7th of July in collaboration with the London Wildlife Trust, we will be doing a clear up of the New River (on foot or in a little boat!) ending with music and beer at the other end! Join us to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the New River.

The Castle Shop staff are holding a demo evening for customers to get to grips with the vast array of belay devices available on the market.

Do you know your Click-Up from your Cinch? Do you know how to use a Reverso in guide-mode? If not, this demo evening may be of interest to you. Come and check out the latest designs and get some expert advice from our staff.

We may even lay on some nibbles in the way of cheese & sausiccon....
