You may notice our new card payment terminals in Reception and in the Cafe. Yes, you can now pay with cards in the Cafe too!
We've just signed on with Ethecol, a Liverpool based not-for-profit card payment co-operative. Now a portion of the charges that would have been profit to a major financial institution is going to be donated to the BMC Access and Conservation Trust. This means that everytime you pay by card at The Castle you'll be contributing to education and conservation projects across the UK and Ireland, such as the restoration of Chee Dale's boardwalk by volunteers (pictured above).
This ties in with the Castle's vision of being a benchmark for sustainability and recognition that we want to secure climbing not just for our generation, but for future ones as well.
Hooray for us!
The Castle won the Sustainable Building and Sustainable Procurement Awards at the 2011/2012 Sustainable City Awards. More sustainability...
