Tim Emmett, one of the most psyched climbers of all time, was recently at The Castle Climbing Centre on behalf of Mountain Hardwear delivering drytooling masterclasses in The Quarry and later giving his talk 'The Perfect Storm'. Tim has waived his fees so that we can donate profits to the Breathtakers OB Trust charity.
“Climbing has given me an amazing life, if we can help find a cure to OB then many children will benefit enormously and be able to have some of the opportunities we have,” says Tim.
Breathtakers supports families dealing with obliterative bronchiolitis (OB) a rare lung condition which makes it difficult for children to keep up with their friends and stay healthy. It's described as feeling like you are breathing through a straw...all the time. At the moment, there is no cure. The charity provides support and information to families as well as sponsoring research and projects.
Hooray for us!
