The Castle Climbing Centre
Green Lanes
London
N4 2HA

The Castle is located near Finsbury Park, North London. It’s within London Transport Zone 2 and easily accessible from two tube lines and two overland lines as well being on a main bus route from the city. By road it’s about 4 miles from the city centre, close to a major Trunk Road and Motorway links and with limited on-site parking for cars and secure facilities for bicycles.

When you get near, you can’t miss it. It’s 200 feet high and it really is a castle!

To find us in a conventional street atlas, we are on Green Lanes between Seven Sisters Road and Lordship Park, adjacent to Stoke Newington West Reservoir. Most new street maps show the building as The Castle or Climbing Centre. Older maps may show Water Works or Pumping Station.

Travel Information:

Manor House is the nearest tube station to the Castle and is on the Piccadilly line. From the tube you take exit 3 and then walk down Green Lanes (away from the park) for about 4 minutes until you see you the Castle on your left.

Finsbury Park tube is also quite nearby and is on the Piccadilly line, Victoria line and British Rail overground network. If arriving on the Victoria line you may change here to go to Manor House or you can walk using directions from the map (on the menu left).

You can also use the London Transport web site to plan your tube/bus/rail journey: www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/interactive_journey.shtml

Bus

The 341 and the 141 go right past the climbing centre on Green Lanes.

The 253, 254, 259, 279 and the 29 also stop nearby at the junction of Green Lanes and Seven Sisters Road at Manor House tube.

The 106 goes along Lordship Park Manor Road, near to the Castle and stops just after crossing Green Lanes.
