Geckos provide climbing supervision and instruction for children aged 9-16 on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5-7pm, and Friday evenings from 5.30-7.30pm and Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10am-12pm. Geckos run courses for three levels of climbers: beginners, intermediates (for those who have basic climbing and belaying skills) and advanced. All aspects of indoor climbing are covered, including safety issues, climbing techniques, together with other useful skills, such as descending a rope by abseil and ascending with Prusik loops. However, please note that the club is currently full. Suggested alternatives are climbing parties, holiday courses or personal tuition. |
